Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian has appointed Khodadad Gharibpour as a member and head of the National Development Fund (NDF) board for a five-year term, replacing Mehdi Ghazanfiri in the position.
Pezeshkian instructed Gharibpour to improve the fund’s management and pursue its core objective of turning part of oil, gas, condensate and petroleum-product revenues into productive, sustainable wealth and preserving resources for future generations.
Gharibpour has previously held senior positions including Deputy Industry Minister, head of the Iranian Mines and Mining Industries Development and Renovation Organization (IMIDRO), CEO of Kharazmi Investment Company, CEO of Sepehr Saderat Financial Group Investment Company, and acting head of the Banks Employees Pension Fund..
