The capacity recovery process at Iran’s South Pars Phase 14 refinery has reached 70%, with full rehabilitation expected to be completed by the end of the year (late March 2027), according to Pars Oil and Gas Co. (POGC) CEO Touraj Dehghani.

Dehghani said three damaged trains returned to production within less than 10 days after the refinery was hit during the 12-day war. The remaining damaged train is expected to return to production by year-end.

Meanwhile, reconstruction of South Pars refineries 3 and 5, which suffered heavier damage, is underway. Safety and debris-removal operations were completed in less than two months without incidents.

Although initial estimates put the full reconstruction period at at least three years, POGC aims to restore some trains by the end of the year and complete the overall reconstruction within two years.

The recovery effort is drawing on private companies, domestic contractors, financial institutions and banks to accelerate reconstruction.
