Iranian Oil Minister Mohsen Paknejad and Pakistan’s Interior Minister Syed Mohsin Raza Naqvi have emphasized the need to expand bilateral trade and economic exchanges, particularly in the energy sector.
The two officials held talks on Tuesday at the Iranian Oil Ministry’s headquarters in Tehran, focusing on strengthening bilateral energy cooperation and expanding commercial and economic relations.
Paknejad highlighted the two countries’ longstanding economic, trade and cultural ties, saying their existing areas of cooperation provide a strong foundation for expanding interaction in various fields, especially energy.
He pointed to significant opportunities for cooperation in oil and petroleum product trade, as well as the export of technical and engineering services, particularly in the refinery sector.
Pakistan’s interior minister arrived in Tehran on Tuesday, where he also held talks with President Masoud Pezeshkian and Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi.
