The United States has imposed a new round of sanctions on several individuals and companies linked to Iran, continuing its sanctions policy against the country.
According to reports, the U.S. Treasury Department has sanctioned four individuals and nine entities. The sanctions also target one company based in turkey and two companies based in the United Arab Emirates.
In a statement, the Treasury Department said the measures target a network allegedly linked to Iranian businessman Babak Zanjani, claiming that it operated through the Dot One Economic Group to help circumvent U.S. sanctions on Iran.
The latest move comes as Washington has introduced several new rounds of sanctions in recent months against individuals, companies, and commercial networks connected to Iran, maintaining its economic pressure campaign on Tehran.
