An Iranian knowledge-based company, Sharif Engineering Processing Development Company (SEPDCO), has developed a technology called a “flare gas desulfurization package” that processes and makes flare gases usable, enabling the production of about 93 million cubic meters of gas per year, according to ISNA.
The project has been implemented under a “first-time contract” scheme with support from the petrochemical industry.
According to the company’s CEO, Reza Dorostkar, it not only improves industrial efficiency and profitability but has also helped bring skilled experts back to academic and industrial sectors, while strengthening cooperation between science and industry in the country.
