Iran’s Port of Khorramshahr has successfully completed its first LPG export operation using multimodal transportation to Afghanistan and Pakistan. The move is seen as an important step toward expanding export routes, strengthening regional trade, and enhancing the port’s role in Iran’s logistics network, reported the Mehr News Agency.
According to Aki Askari, the port's director general, the use of multimodal transport improves efficiency, facilitates cargo movement, and supports the expansion of export markets.
He also noted that increasing the share of combined and rail transportation is a key national objective, and this achievement could pave the way for similar export initiatives in the future.
