The reconstruction and modernization of gas refineries and petrochemical infrastructure in Iran’s Pars Special Economic Energy Zone (PSEEZ), damaged during recent attacks, will be fully completed within a maximum of two years, according to Iran’s Parliament.
Esmail Hosseini, spokesperson for the Parliament’s Energy Committee, said that approximately 50% of the planned reconstruction work is expected to be completed before the start of the upcoming cold season in order to secure winter energy supplies.
He added that the rebuilding process will rely entirely on domestic expertise and locally manufactured equipment. Rather than merely restoring the damaged facilities, the projects are being redesigned with advanced technologies aimed at bringing them back online with higher production capacity than before.
