Saeid Tavakkoli, Managing Director of the National Iranian Gas Company (NIGC), stated that Iran’s gas network has remained stable following the “imposed war.” He said that although parts of the oil industry’s facilities were damaged during the conflict, integrated management across all sectors of the Oil Ministry prevented any restrictions from being imposed on consumers so far< reported the News Agency of Iran Oil Ministry.

Tavakkoli referred to damage suffered by gas refineries in South Pars Gas Field, noting that four gas refineries in the region were hit during the war. However, thanks to the efforts of operational and technical teams, the national gas network remained stable.

He added that, under a management decision, the full reconstruction of two refineries has been assigned to the National Iranian Gas Company. Reconstruction work has already begun with detailed planning, and the facilities are expected to return to operation on schedule.

Regarding fuel storage, Tavakkoli said that all power plants in the country are currently operating at maximum capacity using natural gas. He explained that the company’s summer strategy is to minimize the use of liquid fuels at power plants through network management, allowing liquid fuel reserves to remain fully stocked for the winter season, when they become critically important.
