Iran’s Trade Promotion Organization has issued a directive clarifying the new list of exportable petrochemical and refinery products.
Following recent disruptions and customs ambiguities in the export process of petrochemical and refining products, the organization announced that the export of the following items is permitted, subject to regulations:
-
- Carbon black (tariff code 28030000)
-
- Ethylene (29012100)
-
- Various types of naphtha (light, heavy, intermediate)
-
- Fuel oil
-
- Petroleum solvents, kerosene, and residues
-
- Liquefied petroleum gas (LPG), butane, and sulfur
Exports of naphtha, fuel oil, and petroleum solvents that overlap with hydrocarbons produced by mini-refineries are also temporarily allowed.
However, hydrocarbons containing xylene (all types), toluene, acetic acid, benzene, lube cut, isobutanol, and MTBE are excluded and remain subject to specific regulations and restrictions.
