Majid Ansari, Legal Deputy of Iran’s President, commented on the seizure of the London building belonging to Iran’s Oil Industry Pension Fund and said: “The building belongs to retired oil industry employees and is private property. UK courts rejected Iran’s arguments and ruled in favor of Crescent Company. The lower court ruling was issued in April 2024 and the appeal court confirmed the same verdict,” reported the ILNA.
He added: “Iran continues legal efforts to prevent enforcement of the ruling, aiming to avoid further damage to the Islamic Republic. Related cases Crescent 2 and 3 are also under review, with ongoing cooperation between the Oil Ministry and the International Legal Center.
Regarding claims about Babak Zanjani’s assets in Malaysia, Ansari stated “There is no legal or verified basis, and urged media outlets not to publish unverified reports.”
