Iraq and Shell discuss enhancing energy cooperation

As part of his visit to the United States, Iraq's Deputy Prime Minister for Energy Affairs and Oil Minister, Hayan Abdul Ghani, met with senior executives from Shell, including Vice President Fakher Abdulrahim Badr [Bader] and Head of International Affairs Amy Conroy.

The meeting focused on enhancing collaboration in gas and energy investments in Iraq, particularly in developing associated gas fields. Shell currently works with Iraq's South Gas Company (SGC) on gas investment projects in several oil fields.

The talks aimed at expanding joint ventures to further boost Iraq's energy sector. Iraqi officials, including the Deputy Minister for Gas Affairs and the Iraqi Ambassador to the US, were also present.
