Masoud Afshar, Deputy Managing Director of National Iranian Drilling Co. (NIDC) in Operation Affairs, talked about drilling and completion of 17 oil and gas wells in both the onshore and offshore regions of the country, in the first two months of current (Iranian) year (started late March 2022), reported the PR office of NIDC.
He added: “Out of these 17 wells, 2 are development wells, 1 exploration wells and 14 are work-over wells.”
Afshar continued: “14 wells of the total wells drilled are located in the regions run under National Iranian South Oil Co. (NISOC), 1 well for Exploration Dept. of NIOC and 2 wells for Iranian Offshore Oil Company (IOOC).”
In the first two months of last Iranian year, NIDC had also drilled 17 oil and gas wells in both onshore and offshore regions of the country.
According to Afshar, 62 drilling rigs of NIDC are currently active.
