Iran’s Foreign Ministry Spokesman Saied Khatibzadeh said Monday, 13th September 2021, that the government is planned to resume Vienna nuclear talks in the near future.

He added: “We certainly expect the other parties to consider the existing facts when they come to Vienna. The United States should know that it is the party that withdrew from JCPOA and imposed sanctions and continues the daily economic war against the Iranian nation.”

The comments came after Iran agreed to allow International Atomic Energy Agency staff access and reset cameras and other equipment that monitor Iranian activities at various nuclear-related sites in Iran.

Mikhail Ulyanov, Russian Permanent Representative to the International Organizations in Vienna referred to the remarks of Khatibzadeh in a tweet on Monday by writing: "Encouraging signal from #Iran. The resumption of the #ViennaTalks is long-awaited."
