Iran SP phases 20&21 gas output to reach onshore by Nov. 2016

AliReza Ebadi, head of South Pars phases 20&21 development project at Pars Oil and Gas Co. (POGC), referred to commissioning of these phases by the end of current (Iranian) year (March 2017), and said: “At present, the first row of the refinery of these phases is ready to receive gas and the second row will also get on stream by late August 2016,” reported the news agency of Iran oil ministry.

Stating that drilling 11 wells of the platform of SP phase 21 has come to an end and the wells are ready for production, Ebadi explained: “Once platform of phase 21 gets commissioned, we will be able to produce 1bcf/d of gas by December 2016.”

About drilling 11 wells at phase 20 platform, he clarified: “Drilling of these wells will also end in September and will be ready for gas production.”

“Construction of platform of SP phase 20, with a production capacity of 1 bcf/d of gas, has made 90% progress. This platform has been also planned to be ready to be loaded and relocated in September 2016.”
