$2.3 Bln seized from Iranian oil assets in Malaysia over Crescent dispute

Following previous asset seizures in London and Rotterdam, the UAE-based company Crescent has now collected $2.305 billion from the National Iranian Oil Company's (NIOC) assets held in Malaysia's FIIB bank, linked to Babak Zanjan, Fars News Agency reported.
According to the report, this action came after the September 27, 2021 final ruling by the Hague international arbitration tribunal ordering Iran to pay $2.9 billion in damages to Crescent over a gas contract signed in 2002 for the Salman gas field.
