Iran, Kazakhstan ink MoU in fields of oil and gas

A memorandum of understanding on joint cooperation between Iran and Kazakhstan in the field of oil and gas was signed in the presence of the presidents of Iran and Kazakhstan. 

Iran-Kazakhstan joint cooperation commission was held in the presence of Iran and Kazakhstan presidents, as well as Iranian oil minister Javad Owji, on Sunday in Tehran.

During the meeting, a memorandum of understanding on joint cooperation between Iran and Kazakhstan in the field of oil and gas between the National Iranian Oil Company and National Company of Kazakhstan "KazMunayGas" (KMG) was signed.

In the presence of President Raisi and his Kazakh counterpart Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, nine documents of cooperation and a Memoranda of Understanding (MoU) were signed between Iran and Kazakhstan.

The documents are in the fields of developing transit transportation, scientific and cultural exchanges, energy, cultural agriculture, trade-economic exchanges, and other fields signed between the Ministers of Iran and Kazakhstan in the presence of the president Raisi and his Kazakh counterpart.

The president of Iran outlined the target of raising the value of annual trade exchanges with Kazakhstan to $3 billion.
