Third Iran-Germany Joint ‘Energy Working Committee’ meeting was held on Tuesday, 26th October 2021, in Tehran.
Hossein Ismaili, the Director General of Europe, US and Caspian Neighbors Office of the International Affairs and Trade Department of the Iran Oil Ministry talked about the importance of the meeting and stated: "Considering Germany's membership in the European Union, the ‘Energy Working Committee’ can play an effective role in expanding relations with other European countries and provide a good basis for cooperation with EU members," reported the News Agency of Iran Oil Ministry.
Ismaili added: “Renewable energies, increasing efficiency and productivity and reducing energy intensity, transfer new technologies and the cooperation of the German public and private sectors with the oil and energy ministries and their affiliates were the most important topics discussed at the meeting.”
Regarding the participants of the meeting, he added; “Representatives of BMWI, GIZ, Dena, German Ministry of Economy and Energy and the representative of the German Embassy in Tehran with representatives of the Presidential Transformation and Development Cooperation Center, Oil Ministry, Ministry of Energy, SATBA and Fuel Consumption Optimization Companywere attended in the meeting.”
According to the report, the Iranian delegation was chaired by Hossein Ismaili and the German delegation was chaired by Ms. Ursula Borak, Deputy Director General for International Energy of the German Ministry of Economy and Energy.
