Iran’s Petroleum Industry Yearbook 2008
Preface:
Last year, IranOilGas Network prepared the first ever edition of Iran’s Petroleum Industry Yearbook (March 20th, 2006 - March 20th, 2007) and was highly praised for the achievement.
This second edition of Iran’s Petroleum Industry Yearbook is an attempt to shed light on all activities carried out in Iran’s oil, gas and petrochemical industries during the past Iranian year (March 20th, 2007 to March 20th, 2008).
Replicating the first edition, the present Yearbook is prepared in three broad categories of Iran’s ‘Oil/Gas Upstream’, ‘Oil/Gas Downstream’ and ‘Petrochemical Industry’.
The ‘Oil/Gas Upstream’ category deals with all exploratory and developmental projects of oil and gas in both the offshore and onshore sectors in the past Iranian year.
In the ‘Upstream’ category, apart from examining the activities on the projects, statistics are provided for exploratory and drilling activities, for the discovered volumes of oil/gas plus their production capacities, in the said year.
The ‘Downstream’ category examines different oil and gas refining/storing projects and crude & products’ pipeline plans and provides relevant statistics in details.
The ‘Petrochemical Industry’ category focuses on all petrochemical activities carried out in the past Iranian year, along with pertinent statistics.
All information provided in this report are based on the reports/data available with IranOilGas Network/or provided by officials in companies affiliated to Iran’s ministry of petroleum.
Note: In this Yearbook, ‘last year’ means the Iranian year starting on 20th March 2007 and ending on 20th March 2008.
