Oil price at Iran's next year budget might be at $40: Government Spokesman

Ali Rabiei, Iran’s government spokesman talked about the budget for next Iranian year (starting 20th March 2021) and stated: “The crude oil price in next year budget could be based on an oil price of $40 a barrel; however, the budget assumptions has not final yet,” reported the IRNA. 

He added: “The revenue sources for the next year’s budget are not finalized yet by the government. Our primary forecast for now is oil at $40 per bbl.”

In related News, Mohammad Bagher Nobakht, head of Iran’s Plan and Budget Organization (PBO) said: “The initial estimates for crude oil price are $ 40 in next year budget and the USD exchange rate shall be Rials 110,000-115,000.”
