Tehran is hosting a forum attended by the businessmen of Iran, Iraq and the Iraqi Kurdistan Region. The two-day forum started on Monday and concludes today 3rd of December 2019.
Addressing the forum, the Secretary General of Iran-Iraq Joint Chamber of Commerce Hamid Hosseini said that Iraqi’s Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) is a gateway for the presence of Iran in lucrative Iraqi and Syrian markets, reported the Mehr news agency.
Hosseini added, 80% of Iranian companies use the Kurdistan Region to enter the Iraqi market.
He called on Iranian exporters of products in Iraq and Syria to expand and develop their interaction with Iraqi’s KRG.
