Iran to open six petchem projects today

Today, Iran's president and oil minister officially will inaugurate 6 huge petrochemical projects with a nominal capacity of 3.014 Mln tones per annum, to boost Iran's annual petrochemical yields to over 47 Mln tones.
According to the news agency of Iran's oil ministry, the following petrochemical projects will be inaugurated today in Pars Special Economic Energy Zone (PSEEZ/ Asalouyeh) :
- The 6th Methanol of Zagros Petrochemical Co. (ZPC) with an annual production capacity of 1.650 Mln tones and an investment of $ 440 Mln,
- Butadiene unit of Jam Petrochemical, with an annual production capacity of 115,000 tones and an investment of $148 Mln,
- Export jetties of Pars Petrochemical port, with a cargo capacity of 35 Mln tones per annum and an investment of $864 Mln,
- Wastewater Treatment and waste incineration unit of Mobin Petrochemical Co. (MPC) with an investment of $76 Mln,
- Air Separating unit of Mobin Petrochemical Co. (MPC) with an investment of $152 Mln,
- Ethyl-Benzene and Styrene Monomer units of Pars Petrochemical Co. (PPC) an annual production capacity of 1.245 Mln tones and an investment of $350 Mln.
