Iran Oil Minister Javad Owji appointed Mohammad Sadegh Jokar as the caretaker of the Institute for International Energy Studies (IIES), replacing Hamed Hoori Jafari in the position, reported the News Agency of Iran Oil Ministry.
Jokar has PhD in International Relations form University of Tehran and is one of the young figures in the field of energy geopolitics and one of the few senior experts in this field. Prior to this position, he was Head of Energy Economics Research Institute of IIES.
