Iran Sharif University to host ‘Outlook of Innovation in Oil Industry’ convention
The convention on the ‘Outlook of Innovation in Oil, Gas and Petrochemical Industry’ will be held on 1st and 2nd of October 2019 with the help of oil ministry at Iranian Sharif University of Technology, reported the news agency of Iran oil ministry.
Iran looks to reduce dependence on oil to zero
Iran will restructure its budget in a way that should reduce the country’s dependence on oil revenues to zero, Mohammad-Bagher Nobakht, the head of Iran’s Plan and Budget Organization was quoted as sayiny by IRNA. He added: “Given the severe sanctions, we will lose a significant portion of our budget resources, so it is imperative to reform the budget structure so that the amount of direct reliance on petroleum resources will gradually decrease to zero.”
Iran gas output capacity 810 mcm/d
Mehdi Jamshidi Dana, the director of dispatching at National Iranian Gas Co. (NIGC) stated that currently more than 810 mcm/d of gas is produced and dispatched in Iran. He added: “By having 39,000 km of high pressure gas transfer pipeline, 82 gas pressure boosting stations, 296 turbo compressors and other gas facilities and installations, Iran is first in Asia and fourth in the world,” reported the PR office of NIGC.
Iran Kaveh Methanol operating at 55-60% capacity: Platts
Since it started up in February, Iran’s Kaveh Methanol has been operating at 55-60% of its 2.3 million mt/year capacity. The producer has been sending around 40,000 mt of on-spec methanol every five weeks to the West Coast of India since April, offsetting production outages elsewhere in the Middle East.
