Kish- An offshore hub to back Iran oil platforms

Akbar Torkan, secretary of Free and Special Economic Zones Supreme Council, stated that 130 companies in the field drilling, oil and gas are active at Kish Island, and added: “Kish is the most prominent offshore hub to support Iran offshore oil platforms,” reported the IRNA.

He said: “These companies are active in drilling, services and relevant facilities including supplying the tools and gears for screening, well testing and other services in the field of oil and gas wells.”

Stating that free zones are exempt from monetary, bank, customs duties and taxes, Torkan explained: “These very facilities are regarded as a favorable ground for easy business of the investors in free zones.”
