Mcdermott awarded lump sum contract by Saudi Aramco: Reuters

McDermott International has been awarded a lump sum contract by Saudi Aramco for brownfield work in various fields offshore Saudi Arabia. Work on the contract is expected to be executed through the second quarter of 2018. The award follows the June 2015 signing of a second Long Term Agreement (LTA) between McDermott and Saudi Aramco for engineering, procurement, construction and installation (EPCI) opportunities in various fields offshore Saudi Arabia. 

DNO withdraws from Oman exploration blocks: Oman Observer

Norwegian oil and gas operator DNO International ASA has confirmed that it has pulled out of two oil and gas blocks in the Sultanate. The company said in its second quarter earnings report that it had withdrawn from Block 30 and Block 31 in northwestern part of Oman. With its departure from the two concessions, DNO has seen its portfolio of Omani hydrocarbon assets shrink to two blocks: Block 8 offshore Oman, and Block 36 onshore Oman.

Oman opens floating storage facility at Mina Al Fahal: Oman Observer

Oman Tank Terminal Company (Ottco), a subsidiary of Oman Oil Company (OOC), has launched a new floating storage facility recently, according to a report. The 2.1 million barrel capacity facility at Mina Al Fahal is targeted for global customers of Oman Export Blend.
