Preface:
Considering the plans to expand oil and gas refineries as well as petrochemical complexes in Iran, liquid petroleum gas (LPG) production of the country is foreseen to witness an upward trend within the next 5-10 years, so that LPG production capacity will be almost tripled, by March 2022.
Despite the rise in Iran LPG production, LPG consumption of the country is expected to decline in the next 10 years, so that by March 2027, it is foreseen to be cut into half compared to its current consumption rate.
With regard to the LPG production and consumption trend in Iran, this country should devise an accurate plan for future exports and create a local market for this product.
‘Iran LPG Survey 2017’ examines the data from production, consumption and exports of Iran LPG in the past 5 to 10 years, present decade as well as the next 10 years.
In addition, it gives a clear picture of Iran LPG outlook up to March 2027, regarding its production, relevant consumptions as well as export.
* Note: Throughout this survey, ‘last year’ means the Iranian year started on 20th of March ‘16 and ended on 20th of March ‘17.
